Rebecca Leslie played for the Kanata Rangers, Ottawa Lady Senators and Franco Cité Faucons in her youth, and now after a decade away, she's set to return to her hometown with PWHL Ottawa.

Rebecca Leslie is one of a handful of PWHL players who will get to experience playing in front of her hometown crowd. And she's the only from PWHL Ottawa.
Ottawa signed Leslie to a one-year deal over the weekend, continuing to deepen her roots in the city, that includes being currently employed as an Account Manager in Corporate Partnerships for the Ottawa Sports and Entertainment Group.
Leslie however, is an Ottawa product through and though having deep ties to the city in all ways. Born and raised in Ottawa, Leslie played for the Ottawa Lady Senators, captaining the team in what used to be known as the Provincial Women's Hockey League, or PWHL for short. In her final season with the Senators, Leslie scored 25 goals and 52 points in 38 games during the 2013-2014 season.
After playing at Boston University, in the CWHL with the Calgary Inferno, spending four seasons in the PWHPA, and last year with PWHL Toronto, Leslie will return to play for her hometown of Ottawa for the first time in a decade.
"I'll be very proud to play in front of my friends, my family and all the people who have supported me throughout my journey. I loved growing up in Ottawa," Leslie said at the time of her signing.
In high school, Leslie played her hockey for the Franco Cité Faucons while attending École secondaire catholique Franco-Cité.
Prior to joining the Ottawa Lady Senators, Leslie played for the Kanata Rangers.
Along with locals including Jamie Lee Rattray and Sam Cogan, Leslie was one of only a few Ottawa products in the PWHL last season. That number could grow this year after Ottawa's Kayle Osborne was drafted by PWHL New York.
