The PWHL is headed to the Motor City for the league's 'Takeover Weekend' March 16-17 when PWHL Boston and PWHL Ottawa drop the puck at Little Caesars Arena.

PWHL Toronto forward Jesse Compher's brother, J.T. is a member of the Detroit Red Wings. He has had him following the PWHL avidly this season and is excited for the league to come to Detroit. His only regret about the PWHL's visit to Detroit is that Jesse Compher and PWHL Toronto will be in Pittsburgh that weekend playing Montreal instead of Detroit.

"I wish that Toronto was coming here," Compher told The Hockey News. "Obviously that didn't work out, but I do know that we're gonna be playing... in Pittsburgh, so that'll be exciting. I'm gonna try to get to that game sometime before ours and watch."

Jesse Compher has won World Championship gold and two silver medals, along with an Olympic silver medal playing for Team USA. In February her PWHL Toronto set an attendance record for professional women's hockey playing in front of a sold out crowd at the 18,800 seat Scotiabank Arena in Toronto. Her brother, who is in his eigth season in the NHL, sees the growing excitement for the PWHL on all levels.

"I've been watching a lot of it, and it's fun," he said. "They do a great job of putting it on YouTube. The quality is great, the product is awesome, and the girls seem to be really enjoying it. Definitely think anyone that likes hockey should check it out, and I love watching the games, and I think the league's been doing great so far."

Puck drop between PWHL Boston and PWHL Ottawa on March 16 is at 6pm ET at Little Caesars Arena in Detroit.
