Saroya Tinker has decided to step away from hockey, retiring from the game at only 25-years-old.

Saroya Tinker, 25, has announced her retirement from hockey saying "it's time to pivot."
"Although my playing days may be over, I can assure you that this is just the beginning for me," Tinker wrote on social media.
After spending her NCAA career with Yale, Tinker spent the last three seasons in the PHF. Last season she played in the PHF All-Star game and won an Isobel Cup title with the Toronto Six.
"Playing hockey has impacted my life in ways I could have never imagines, and I am forever grateful to those who helped me achieve my goals on the ice," she added.
Tinker has also been serving as the Executive Director of Black Girl Hockey Club Canada.
"Playing hockey as a woman of colour has most definitely come with its challenges. Still, I am so grateful and proud of the young girls and women I have been able to affect by simply being a piece of representation on the ice and showing them that they can do it, too."
Tinker was not drafted in the PWHL Draft, but had accepted a camp invitation to PWHL Ottawa.
