The PWHL has hired Amy Scheer, who spent last season working with the NFL and WNBA's Connecticut Sun as their new senior vice president of business operations.

The PWHL continues to add front office staff, as they hired Amy Scheer to serve as the league's new senior vice president of business operations.
Throughout her 35-year career in sport, Scheer has worked with the WNBA, PHF, NBA, MLS, and NFL.
“Amy is a proven leader with incredible energy and a passion for women’s sports that will benefit the entire PWHL,” said Stan Kasten, PWHL advisory board member in a league news release. “She knows how to build, and her experience establishing new teams and engaging in new markets both creatively and adaptively with a high degree of success is essential for our growth.”
Scheer will be responsible for business operations throughout the league, including developing sponsorship, media, marketing, communications, and licensing agreements and strategies for the PWHL. Most recently in women's sport, Scheer has worked in Connecticut markets with the Connecticut Sun and Connecticut Whale. While serving a business operations role with the WNBA's Sun last year, Scheer also worked for the NFL.
“It’s great to see women hockey players receive the stage they deserve to showcase what brilliant athletes they are,” said Scheer. “There is no doubt the PWHL, with the commitment of the players and ownership, will have a profound impact on and off the ice. I look forward to working together to bring this league to life for our partners and fans and continue elevating the size and scope of women’s hockey in the sports landscape."
