Jaques is the back-to-back reigning WCHA Defender of the Year staring with Ohio State University. She also won the 2023 Patty Kazmaier Award as the best player in NCAA hockey, and helped lead Ohio State to a national championship in 2022.
Over her past two NCAA seasons, Jaques scored 107 points in 79 games from the blueline.
She was a standout at Canada's recent national team selection camp and will be a player Hockey Canada watches closely during the inaugural PWHL season.
Jaques, 22, hails from Toronto, where the 5-foot-8 right shot defender spent her minor hockey career playing for the Toronto Aeros.
