The PWHL Trade Deadline has come and gone with only one minor deal being done. The trade saw Anna Kjellbin from the Montreal Victoire sent to the Toronto Sceptres in exchange for Kaitlin Willoughby.
The deal flips two players who were both playing depth roles, but fill positional needs with their new clubs.
Kjellbin has appeared in 18 games this season with the Montreal Victoire recording a lone assist. She was playing just under 11 minutes per game on the blueline. The right shot defender replenishes Toronto's blueline after the team saw reserve Lauren Bernard sign with the New York Sirens last week.
Montreal added depth to their forward group in Willoughby, a veteran to the league. Willoughby hasn't recorded a point in 20 games with Toronto this season. She's been playing under four minutes per game. Willoughby played 23 games with Toronto last season after four years in the PWHPA.
