According to sources, the Boston Fleet and New York Sirens have completed the second trade of the 2024-25 PWHL season.

After difficult starts for both players, the Boston Fleet will reportedly send forward Taylor Girard to the New York Sirens in exchange for Jill Saulnier.

Both players have appeared in five games this season without recording a point for their teams. The deal gives each player a fresh opportunity.

Last season with New York, Saulnier appeared in 18 games recording two points. Girard played in 23 games for Boston recording six points.

Saulnier, 32, represented Canada's senior national team at five World Championships, and the 2022 Olympic Games. She also played in the CWHL and PWHPA prior to joining the PWHL.

Girard, 26, played two seasons in the PHF prior to the PWHL with the Connecticut Whale where she was voted the league's Newcomer of the Year, and was also named a PWHL All-Star.

This is the PWHL's second trade of the season following the blockbuster that sent Jocelyne Larocque and Victoria Bach to the Ottawa Charge in exchange for Savannah Harmon and Hayley Scamurra.
