Swedish captain Anna Kjellbin discusses serving as Sweden's captain at the World Championships and the opportunity to join the PWHL next year.

Anna Kjellbin is a veteran on the international stage. Kjellbin, 30, made her debut for Sweden at the 2016 World Championships having represented Sweden at the U-18 level twice before that.
Since making her national team debut, Kjellbin has played at five World Championships and an Olympic Games for Sweden. This year, she's serving as Sweden's captain as they look to upset a member of Group A in the quarterfinals. She's also won three straight SDHL titles as a member of Lulea.
One thing Kjellbin has not done in her career, is play in North America at the NCAA or pro level. It's a point that could soon change, as Kjellbin is eyeing the PWHL next season.
"I have in my thoughts a little bit about next season and I'm open for it and I see that as an opportunity if the chance comes," Kjellbin said of the PWHL.
She hasn't spent much time in thought about the PWHL however as Kjellbin and Lulea were in SDHL playoffs through February and March, followed almost immediately by Sweden's national team coming together for the World Championships.
When Kjellbin does have the chance, she's considered a strong prospect to earn a selection in the PWHL Draft this year.
