Janecke was a star for Penn State at the NCAA level scoring 26 goals and 48 points this season.
She also won Olympic gold with Team USA scoring five points in seven games, and is a World Championship gold medalist as well.
The pick addresses Las Vegas' positional need for a centre and scoring.
