Tuesday’s game was the final day of game play for league before a pause for the Olympics.
Following the game, Fleet head coach Kris Sparre spoke about the mentality and plan for those who will remain in Boston.
“We're going to get some rest right now. We're going to have a little bit of time off,” Sparre said. “I know the Olympians will be ramping it up but we have to stay sharp. There's a group of players in this league that are going to go play some of the most competitive hockey they've seen in a very long time, at the highest stage. And so you can better believe that when they come back to this league, they're going to be ready to go–our job is to match that.”
Kayle Osborne spoke about her mindset heading into the Olympics.
“Any game play is preparation for this league, so just going out there and whether for their country or this team, just giving it 100%.”
The Olympic women's hockey games will kick off February 5th.
