Toronto has signed Kristen Campbell to a three-year guaranteed contract securing their crease for the next three seasons.
“We are very excited to have signed Kristen Campbell to a three-year contract. She is an excellent goalie that has a bright future ahead of her. She will make our franchise better both on and off the ice," said Gina Kingsbury, Toronto's general manager.
Campbell has been Canada's third goalie at recent competitions and was recently named to Canada's Rivalry Series roster. Campbell, however, has yet to play a game at an IIHF competition for Canada.
“I am beyond excited to officially join this incredible group of players and staff," said Campbell. "I can't wait to get to Toronto with my teammates, start building our team culture/identity and start chasing championships!”
Campbell played 11 games for Team Scotiabank in the PWHPA last season posting a 2.77 GAA and .920 save percentage.
The back-to-back NCAA Goaltender of the Year was Toronto's third pick, 14th overall in the PWHL Draft.
