The Toronto Sceptres have agreed to terms with free agent defender Anna Kjellbin.
Kjellbin was acquired by the Sceptres in a late season trade with the Montreal Victoire. After initially not tendering Kjellbin with a qualifying offer, the Sceptres changed course and re-signed the veteran Swedish blueliner.
“We’re very happy to have Anna returning to the Sceptres,” said General Manager Gina Kingsbury.
“Anna brings experience, leadership and professionalism to our team and organization.”
From Göteborg, Sweden, Kjellbin is Sweden's national team captain and will represent the nation this winter at the 2026 Olympics. She's already played at the 2022 Olympics and six World Championships for Sweden.
"I’m excited to be returning to Toronto for another season,” said Kjellbin. “After joining the team late in the year, I felt so welcomed and I can’t wait to get started for another season!”
Kjellbin, 31, was Montreal's 6th round pick, 35th overall in the 2024 Draft after winning three straight titles with Lulea in Sweden.
