Toronto had the most in question crease in the PWHL. To help solidify the position the team has signed veteran Erica Howe to a one-year contract.

Toronto was set to enter the PWHL training camps this week as the only team with only one goaltender in the organization. That is no longer the case as Toronto has signed goaltender Erica Howe to a one-year contract.

Howe spent the past four seasons in the PWHPA, last season playing four games with Team Sonnet posting a 3.54 GAA and 0.890 save percentage, good for 11th best among the 13 goalies in the PWHPA last year.

After graduating from Clarkson, where she backstopped the Golden Knights to a national championship in 2013-2014, Howe spent five seasons in the CWHL with the Brampton/Markham Thunder. That included a spectacular run to a Clarkson Cup title in 2017-2018.

Internationally, Howe has served as Canada's third goalie at one World Championship tournament, and also appeared for Canada at the U-18 World Championships winning gold.

Howe, 31, will partner with Kristen Campbell, who signed a three-year contract with Toronto earlier this offseason.
