The event features four teams - Canada, Great Britain, USA, and Team World - continuing to grow the sport of women's para ice hockey toward the inaugural Women's World Championships in 2025. Team World is composed of players from 11 nations.
USA won gold last year defeating Canada 5-1 in the gold medal game, and they look strong again this year returning 16 players from the 2022 roster including standouts Katie Ladlie and Catherine Faherty.
Canada will be paced by Raphaelle Tousignant who cracked Canada men's para ice hockey national team. Canada's other top threat is Alanna Mah.
Team World features Norway's Lena Schroeder, one of only three women to ever play at the Paralympic Winter Games.
