Tatum Amy is one of the new faces of the PHF. The All-Canadian captain of the USports national champion Mount Royal University Cougars signed a one-year contract to play for the PHF's Buffalo Beauts.

"It's very special...until I get to Buffalo, I don't think it will really sink in," Amy said of her signing.

For Amy, the opportunity to showcase her own ability, and the talent of USports athletes is a challenge she's excited for after scoring 31 points in 26 games and being named the Canada West Player of the Year.

Her season with Mount Royal, winning a national championship in her final campaign is one Amy and her teammates will never forget.

"The team was super special," said Amy. "Coming into training camp before the season started, I had nothing but good feelings. Just the whole team morale, everyone wanted the same thing. It was just an amazing season that I don't think anyone will ever forget."

As a new professional, Tatum Amy also recognizes her growing platform to spread messages of inclusion and kindness through sport. In particular, that message has personal meaning to Amy during Pride month.

"Hockey has been a huge part of my coming out journey," said Amy. "Hockey is my whole entire life, so to be able to feel 100% me everywhere I go it so important and I think now I'm in a very good position for my voice to be heard..."
