In the first three seasons of the PWHL, 112 Canadian born players have stepped on the ice to play a PWHL game or were drafted in 2025. The bulk of those, nearly half, have come from Ontario. When Abby Hustler steps on the ice this season with the Minnesota Frost, she will complete the sweep for all 10 Canadian provinces having a player who has competed in the league.

She will mark off Canada's smallest province, Prince Edward Island, which has less than 200,000 people. In comparison, the province is roughly the same size as Connecticut, which has more than 3.6 million people.

The only other province with only one player to skate in the PWHL is also in Atlantic Canada in New Brunswick, where Sarah Bujold, an inaugural season player for PWHL Montreal, hailed from.

Currently, no Canadian player from the nation's three Territories has played in the PWHL.
