The PWHL has continued to break professional women's hockey attendance records.

The first record fell on January 2 as Ottawa drew 8,318 fans for their home opener against Montreal. Only days later, Minnesota broke the record with 13,316 attending their home opener.

More recently, PWHL Montreal broke Ottawa's Canadian record with 8646 attending their home game at Place Bell in Laval.

When the puck drops on the "Battle on Bay Street" between Toronto and Montreal on February 16, all of those records will be blown out of the water as the game has sold out the 18,800 seat Scotiabank Arena in Toronto.

This season Toronto is averaging the second lowest attendance total among PWHL teams bringing in 2487 fans per game, but the reason is the capacity of Mattamy Athletic Centre in Toronto. PWHL Toronto sold out all 12 home games at Mattamy within hours of tickets coming available prior to the season. The fan base in Toronto, however, has proven it can draw a far larger crowd as seen through the response to the "Battle on Bay Street."

Only minutes after tickets went on sale February first following an exclusive pre-sale for previous PWHL Toronto ticket holders, Scotiabank Arena sold out.

Across the league,  Minnesota leads all PWHL markets in average attendance with 7743, followed by Ottawa (6362), Montreal (5364), Boston (4026), Toronto (2487), and New York (2248).
