Few events in the world bring as many top prospects together as Stoney Creek's preseason showcase, an event drawing hundreds of scouts, coaches, and recruiters aiming to fill their rosters with the best players in the world.

Each year, Stoney Creek hosts three events, a U-22/U-19 University Showcase, a U-18 Showcase, and a U-15 Showcase, which last year drew 129 coaches from 84 universities, and numerous Hockey Canada scouts for the Canadian national program.

This year, the tournament, particularly the U-22/U-19 event, which was founded in 2004 and runs from September 15-17, looks to be another event bringing top Canadian, American, and international talent together.

The 64 team event features the 25 members of Ontario OWHL U-22 Elite league, eight CSSHL teams, 20 American U-19 programs, four hockey academies from Canada and the USA, and six CEGEP schools from Quebec.

Among the players who will be competing in the tournament are U-18 World Championship MVP Nela Lopusanova, Canadian gold medallists Hannah Clarke, Caitlin Kraemer, Abby Stonehouse, Mackenzie Alexander, Morgan Jackson, and Charlotte Pieckenhagen, American U-18 national team members Finley McCarthy, Rose Dwyer, Bella Fanale, Megan Healy, and Lucia DiGirolamo, as well as Czechia national team goalie Michaela Hesova.

In total the tournament features close to 100 NCAA Division I committed players.

In 2022, the Ottawa Lady Sens defeated the Durham West Lightning in the championship game.
