Highlight reel of Jonna Albers, one of the PHF's all-time leading scorers with the Minnesota Whitecaps Jonna Albers was the fastest player in PHF history to hit 100 points last season, and she's one of the fastest players in the game. Next season, she'll certainly be one of the PHF players moving to the new professional women's hockey league and showcasing her ability against top talent from both the PHF and PWHPA. Albers combines a unique skill set utilizing blazing speed, but also an ability to process the game and read defenders in full flight. Only five-foot-four, Albers utilizes a low center of gravity to push off defenders and power her way to the net. She's fearless in her attack, both with the puck on her stick and on the forecheck. Her forecheck is relentless resulting in opportunities from giveaways. In transition, Albers can create turnovers and rapidly transition the puck up ice on the attack, and is always an option for her own blueliners to spring on a break. Unlike some forwards, Albers final scoring option is more difficult to read as she can beat goalies with her shot, but is also willing to push netminders deep with her speed opening holes, or to freeze them on both her forehand and backhand sides with quick hands. Whether it's on the penalty kill or powerplay, Albers is a constant threat. She's undoubtedly one of the most skills and offensively potent players coming from the PHF.
