Michela Cava has emerged as one of women's hockey's most clutch playoff performers. She's won back-to-back-to-back league championships, and is now only one win from leading Minnesota to the first Walter Cup title.
Michela Cava is clutch. She showed it in game one of the PWHL Finals, then game two, and again with an assist on Taylor Heise's opener, and a highlight reel goal of her own in game three of the PWHL finals.
Cava now has three goals and six points in the PWHL finals.
It's become a career trend for Cava. In fact, she's won back-to-back-to-back championships.
Three years ago it was an SDHL title with Lulea where she had 10 points in nine playoff games. Two years ago Cava won a Russian title with the KRS Vanke Rays scoring a whopping 17 points in only eight games.
Last season Cava was named the PHF playoff MVP winning an Isobel Cup title with the Toronto Six. In their run, she notched six points in four games.
If PWHL Minnesota can close out this series, Michela Cava will have won four straight championships, and the 30-year-old is certainly doing her part to make that happen.
After scoring only eight points in 24 games this season, Cava already has six in eight playoff games.
