Natalie Spooner is getting better by the game and is already leading the PWHL in goals. It's safe to say, Natalie Spooner is back.

In April of 2023, Natalie Spooner returned to the ice with Team Canada at the World Championships only four months after giving birth to her first child. She finished the tournament with six point in seven games. It was a brief return, followed by eight months without another game.

With the PWHL season more than a month gone, it can now be said officially, and emphatically: Natalie Spooner is officially back.

No one doubted Spooner's performance at the World Championships, but early on with PWHL Toronto, Spooner was not only leading the league in goals, but she looked to be getting better every game.

Spooner plays a prototypical power forward game. She loves to drive to the net, and is equally adept at scoring a highlight reel marker, or cleaning up garbage in the crease.

Currently Spooner is scoring with a 20% shooting percentage, a rate which seems unsustainable. Spooner however, has looked sharper each game, more confident in taking pucks to the middle of the ice, and like a force that can consistently drive play.

Any way you look at it, Natalie Spooner is officially back, and PWHL Toronto must be incredibly happy.
