Highlights from night two of Minnesota's Celly League Minnesota's Celly League continued their inaugural season with another night of competition in Bloomington. It was a night featuring a tight 3-2 shootout win for Team TRIA over Team Ace Hardware, while Team Tradition Mortgage routed Team Pull Tab Sports 6-1. In both games, the professional hockey players on the ice led the charge. In game one, Brittyn Fleming, who played last season for the Minnesota Whitecaps and was an invitee this summer to USA Hockey's National Summer Festival, scored a pair of goals for Ace Hardware in a losing effort. Madeline Wethington, one of the top blueliners in NCAA hockey with the University of Minnesota scored one in regulation, and also scored in the shootout for Team TRIA. Sam Broz had the other TRIA goal in regulation, while Brieja Parent scored the shootout winner. During the second game of the night, Catie Skaja, who was signed to play with the Minnesota Whitecaps next season before the PHF acquisition had a pair of assists on goals by Hailey Eikos and Crystalyn Hengler in the Tradition Mortgage route. Team Czechia's leading scorer from the recent World Championships and Minnesota Whitecaps standout Denisa Krisova had the lone Pull Tab Sports goal with an assist going to Claire Butorac who was another signee of the Minnesota Whitecaps this offseason. Through the opening week of play, Madison Kaiser of the University of Minnesota leads all scorers with five points in two games, while Brittyn Fleming is the league's top goal scorer with three through two games.
