Cami Kronish won an NCAA national championship with Wisconsin, and now she's ready to get into more action overseas signing with AIK in Sweden.

Cami Kronish won a national championship backstopping the NCAA's Wisconsin Badgers. Now, she's headed overseas to play for AIK in the SDHL.

For Kronish, who spent the majority of her NCAA career as a backup before emerging in her senior season as a star, choosing to play in Sweden was about getting starts.

"I looked into the leagues in North America, but it didn't really seem like they had space for me and I didn't want to go somewhere where I would be a backup," she said.

"So I thought that going to a new place, new culture, city, league, team would be an awesome experience, and I knew that I would get in a maximum amount of games that I wanted to."

Kronish intends to someday return to play professional women's hockey in North America, but for now her goals are set to be a standout in Sweden.

In this interview, Cami Kronish discusses her time at Wisconsin, going to the White House, choosing to move to Sweden, and the closing international gap in women's hockey.
