The Abbotsford Canucks have traded forward Carsen Twarynski to the San Diego Gulls for future considerations.
Twarynski has two goals and seven points in 26 games for Abbotsford this season. He has 46 goals and 97 points in 302 career AHL games.
A third round pick of the Philadelphia Flyers in 2016, Twarynski has one goal and no assists in 22 career NHL games, all with the Flyers.
The 27-year-old was a member of the Coachella Valley Firebirds team that made the 2023 Calder Cup Finals. He split time between the Bridgeport Islanders and ICEHL's Vienna Capitals last season before signing an AHL deal with Abbotsford this summer.
The Calgary, Alta., native will bring depth and experience to a San Diego team that is not likely to qualify for the playoffs.
This move to open up a spot implies Abbotsford may be expecting to sign some players to ATOs in the coming weeks.
