
Dunc Fisher, Michael Leighton, Michel Picard, and Rene Drolet are the new inductees

The American Hockey League has announced that Dunc Fisher, Michael Leighton, Michel Picard, and Rene Drolet will be inducted into the American Hockey League Hall of Fame as the 2025 class.
The induction ceremony will take place during AHL All-Star Classic Weekend Feb. 3.
Drolet led the AHL in scoring throughout the 1970s, spending time with the Quebec Aces, Richmond Robins, Virginia Red Wings, and Rochester Americans.
The Quebec City, Que., native sits 23rd on the AHL all-time scoring list with 298 goals and 741 points in 840 games. He also sits 29th on the AHL most games played list.
Fisher played nine AHL seasons with the New Haven Ramblers and Hershey Bears. He led the league in goals in 1958 and won the 1958 and 1959 Calder Cup with the Bears. He made the AHL Second All-Star Team four times and the First Team once.
A native of Regina, SK., Fisher sits 41st on the AHL all-time scoring list with 285 goals and 620 points in 579 career games.
A native of Beauport, Que., Picard was an elite AHL scorer over parts of nine seasons with the Binghamton Whalers, Springfield Indians, Portland Pirates, Prince Edward Island Senators, Philadelphia Phantoms, and Grand Rapids Griffins.
He led the league in goals and won the Calder Cup in 1991 with Springfield, and won another championship in 1994 with Portland. Now a scout with the St. Louis Blues, Picard made the AHL First and Second All-Star Teams twice.
Picard sits 37th on the AHL all-time scoring list with 283 goals and 638 points in 582 games.
Leighton becomes the fifth goalie to enter the Hall of Fame. In parts of 15 AHL seasons he finished with a record of 250-186-55 and a great .916 SV%. He made the All-Rookie Team in 2002 and made the First All-Star Team and won the Baz Bastien Memorial Award for Best Goaltender in 2008.
The Petrolia, ON., is fifth all-time on the AHL wins list with 250 in 507 appearances, he also has the most shutouts all-time with 50.
The AHL Hall of Fame was created in 2006 and contains 71 members.
