The Philadelphia Flyers announced that Western Michigan University forward Alex Bump will be joining the AHL's Lehigh Valley Phantoms for the remainder of the season on an Amateur Tryout (ATO).

Bump also signed an entry-level contract that begins in the 2025-26 season.

A fifth round selection of the Flyers in 2022, Bump recorded 23 goals and 47 points in 42 games this season, helping the Broncos win their first NCAA National Championship in school history.

The 21-year-old led his team in points and finished 13th in the nation in scoring. He finishes his two-year NCAA career with 37 goals and 83 points in 80 games.

An assistant captain for the Broncos this season, Bump was also named NCHC Forward Of The Year and to the NCHC First All-Star Team, winning NCHC Tournament MVP.

Bump will join the Phantoms for the Calder Cup Playoffs where they are likely to match-up with the Providence Bruins in the first round.
