
Hershey Bears forward and Calder Cup game winning goal scorer Matt Strome has signed a two-year AHL deal to remain with the Hershey Bears through the 2025-26 season.
Originally selected in the fourth round of the 2017 draft by the Philadelphia Flyers, Strome joined the Bears prior to the 2022-23 season.
Strome has 16 goals and 48 points in 175 career AHL games with the Lehigh Valley Phantoms and the Bears, he also has recorded 34 points in 57 games in the ECHL.
The 25-year-old has become a high-energy role player in his AHL time, he recorded 20 points in 50 games this season before scoring two goals and five points in 15 playoff games, culminating in scoring the Calder Cup winning goal and second straight championship for the Bears.
The Mississauga, ON, played 34 games in the regular season in 2022-23, but did not appear in a playoff game as Hershey captured the Calder Cup.
Strome won the OHL Championship with the Hamilton Bulldogs in 2017-18.
