
The Calgary Flames have made cuts to their training camp roster, assigning seven players to their AHL affiliate Calgary Wranglers.
Forwards Alex Gallant, Trevor Janicke, Rory Kerins, Ilya Nikolaev, David Silye, and goaltenders Connor Murphy and Matt Radomsky were sent down.
Kerins, Nikolaev, Gallant, Murphy, and Silye all played for the Wranglers last season, Kerins lead the pack with 32 points in 54 games.
This will be Janicke's first professional season after he wrapped up four-year career at the University of Notre Dame.
Similarly, Silye only played two games last season after wrapping up his time with the University of Wisconsin and looks to crack the AHL roster full-time.
Radomsky played 41 games for Calgary's ECHL affiliate Rapid City Rush last season and will compete with Murphy, Devin Cooley, and Waltteri Ignatjew for playing time.
Wranglers training camp will begin on Sept. 30, they open their season Oct. 11 against the Abbotsford Canucks.
