The Chicago Blackhawks have assigned six players to their AHL affiliate Rockford IceHogs.

Forwards Colton Dach, Cole Guttman, Ryder Rolston, Samuel Savoie, Landon Slaggert, and defenseman Ethan Del Mastro were sent down.

Guttman was one of two IceHogs players to score above a point-per-game last season, he recorded 40 points in 39 games. He has also been a serviceable NHLer in his time with the Blackhawks, notching eight points in 27 in 2023-24.

Del Mastro lead IceHogs defensemen in scoring last season with 37 points in 69 games, he figures to return to his top-pairing role this season.

Rolston and Dach were both AHL rookies last season and will likely take on bigger offensive roles as their confidence grows in the professional ranks. Savoie will join Rockford for his first pro season after four years in the QMJHL.

Slaggert jumped right to the NHL and played 16 games with Chicago last season after completing his fourth year at the University of Notre Dame, he will have the opportunity to play higher in than lineup for Rockford to begin the season.

Rockford earned a first-round bye but lost to the Grand Rapids Griffins in the Central Division Semifinals last season.
