
The Chicago Wolves announced they have signed for Yanick Turcotte to a standard AHL contract.
Turcotte was on a PTO with the Wolves, he has played six games with the team and has no points but has racked up 61 penalty minutes.
The 28-year-old played in 22 games for the ECHL's Fort Wayne Komets prior to joining the Wolves. He had two goals, three points, and 109 penalty minutes in 22 games.
The Ste-Brigitte-de-Laval, Que., native has 13 career AHL games with 99 penalty minutes under his belt. He won the Erste Liga championship last season with Ferencvárosi TC.
Turcotte's toughness has made him popular amongst fans and he will continue to bring grit the the Wolves' bottom-six.
Chicago currently sits fourth in the AHL's Central Division with 50 points. Their next game comes Feb. 14 against the Rockford Ice Hogs.
