The Dallas Stars announced they have re-signed goaltender Remi Poirier to a two-year, two-way contract that runs through the 2026-27 season.
Poirier had a record of 17-11-2 with a .908 SP, 2.50 GAA and three shutouts with the Texas Stars this season before posting a 5-3 record with a .919 SP and 2.19 GAA in 10 Calder Cup Playoff appearances, helping the Stars earn a Western Conference Finals berth.
A sixth round pick of the Stars in 2020, Poirier is 43-32-8 with a .906 SP and 2.86 GAA in 85 career AHL appearances over three seasons.
The 23-year-old had a 19-2 record with a .928 SP in 2022-23 with the ECHL's Idaho Steelheads, helping the team win the Brabham Cup as Regular Season Champions and earning a spot on the ECHL's All-Rookie Team.
Poirier's former goaltending partner Magnus Hellberg signed a three-year deal in the SHL late last week, meaning the Texas net will likely be his to begin next season.
