32-year-old played in seven playoff games for Dallas last season

The Dallas Stars announced they have recalled defenseman Alex Petrovic from their AHL affiliate Dallas Stars.

The veteran defender has played two games for AHL Texas this season and recorded one goal, he also serves as an assistant captain. Petrovic has been with the Texas Stars since the 2021-22 season.

After only playing one NHL game in the 2023-24 regular season Petrovic got the call-up and played seven games for Dallas in the 2024 playoffs, averaging 12:02 of ice time. He also appeared in eight Calder Cup playoff games.

With defenseman Matt Dumba out week-to-week and a busy upcoming schedule for Dallas this call-up likely means Petrovic will see NHL playing time.
