The Edmonton Oilers have sent recently re-claimed defensemen Travis Dermott to the Bakersfield Condors per AHL Transactions.
The Oilers placed Dermott on waivers on Dec. 12 and he was claimed by the Minnesota Wild. The Wild placed him on waivers on Feb. 25 and he was re-claimed by the Oilers yesterday.
Dermott can be sent directly to the AHL because no other team placed a claim.
The Newmarket, Ont., native is pointless in 10 games with the Oilers and nine games with the Wild this season while averaging 12:14 of ice time per game.
The 28-year-old has yet to play in the AHL this season, he has 42 points in 82 career AHL games with the Toronto Marlies and Abbotsford Canucks. He made the All-Star Game and won the Calder Cup with the Marlies in 2018.
His first chance to make his Condors debut comes Mar. 1 against the San Diego Gulls.
