The Edmonton Oilers have placed defenseman Travis Dermott on waivers, he will likely report to the Bakersfield Condors if he clears.
Dermott is pointless in 10 games with Edmonton while averaging 13:05 of time on ice per game.
The 27-year-old originally joined the Oilers on a PTO before signing a one-year, two-way contract with worth $775,000 at the NHL level in October.
This move comes a day after the Oilers claimed defenseman Alec Regula off waivers from the Boston Bruins.
Dermott spent last season with the Arizona Coyotes and recorded seven points in 50 games. He has 42 points in 88 career AHL games.
The Newmarket, Ont., native will provide a nice boost for the Condors back end should he clear waivers, especially after they traded Noel Hoefenmayer last week.
