The Edmonton Oilers have made several roster moves, recalling goaltender Olivier Rodrigue and sending forward Derek Ryan to the Bakersfield Condors and recalling goaltender Brett Brochu from the ECHL's Fort Wayne Komets to Bakersfield.
Rodrigue was recalled on an emergency basis after Stuart Skinner left Edmonton's game against the Seattle Kraken on Mar. 26 with an injury.
The 24-year-old has an 18-5-7 record with a .899 SP and 3.05 GAA in 40 AHL appearances this season, he has yet to play in an NHL game.
Ryan has one goal and five points in 35 games with the Oilers this season, averaging 9:20 of ice time per game. He also has three goals and eight points in 13 games for Bakersfield.
Brochu has a 20-10-4 record with a .924 SP and 2.41 GAA in 35 ECHL appearances this season, his second as a professional.
The 22-year-old has appeared in two career AHL games for the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins and Manitoba Moose. He won OHL Goaltender of the Year with the London Knights and a gold medal with Team Canada at the World Junior Championship in 2022.
With the Condors set to play back-to-back on Friday and Saturday there is a good chance Brochu makes his first start for the team.
