The Edmonton Oilers announced they have recalled seven players from their AHL affiliate Bakersfield Condors heading into their second-round matchup against the Vancouver Canucks.
Forwards Adam Erne, Lane Pederson and Raphael Lavoie, defensemen Ben Gleason, Cam Dineen and Phil Kemp, and goaltender Olivier Rodrigue will join the team.
The Condors were swept two games to nothing in their first-round matchup against the Ontario Reign.
The Oilers are unlikely to insert any of these players into the lineup after their first-round success, but it will be a positive experience for these players to practice with the team throughout the playoffs.
Pederson and Lavoie were second and third in scoring on the Condors in the regular season, while Rodrigue had a 19-12-5 record with a .916 save percentage.
