All three players played for Bakersfield last season, Oilers have now assigned 12 players to the AHL in the last two days

The Edmonton Oilers announced they have assigned three more players to their AHL affiliate Bakersfield Condors after sending nine players down on Wednesday

Forward Ethan de Jong and defensemen Maximus Wanner and Noel Hoefenmayer were let go from Oilers training camp roster. de Jong was released from his PTO and will report to Bakersfield, while Wanner and Hoefenmayer were loaned.

All three players spent time with Bakersfield last season, Hoefenmayer recorded 18 points in 47 games, Wanner had 17 in 68, and de Jong had two in 14 games.

Hoefenmayer is on a one-year, two-way contract for the 2024-25 season. Wanner is in year two of a three-year deal, he was originally selected by the Oilers in the seventh round of the 2021 draft. de Jong signed a two-year AHL contract with Bakersfield before the 2023-24 season after winning a NCAA Championship with Quinnipiac University.

Hoefenmayer and Wanner figure to play significant minutes on the Condors blueline, while de Jong will fight for regular AHL playing time after spending the majority of the season with the ECHL's Fort Wayne Komets.

Bakersfield lost in the first round of the Calder Cup playoffs to the Ontario Reign last season. Their first home game will come on Oct. 19.
