24-year-old had 26 points for Syracuse Crunch this season

The Tampa Bay Lightning announced they have re-signed forward Gabriel Fortier to a one-year, two-way contract for the 2024-25 season.

A second round pick of the Lightning in the 2018 NHL draft, next season will be Fortier's sixth in the organization.

Fortier won the Gold Medal with Team Canada at the 2018 Ivan Hlinka Memorial tournament.

The 24-year-old had 26 points in 62 games for the Syracuse Crunch this season before posting five points in eight playoff games.

Fortier has 100 points in 235 career AHL games and one point in 11 games with the Lightning.

Now an established AHL player the Crunch hope Fortier can take the next step and exceed his career high 35 points next season.
