
Grand Rapids Griffins forward John Leonard has been named AHL Player of the Month for November 2025.
The "Expect More" AHL Player of the Month earns $500 from Fortune Tires to be contributed to a charity of their choice.
Leonard recorded nine goals, including three game winners, and 16 points in 10 games in November
The 27-year-old now leads the league in goals and points with 15 and 24 in 15 games.
The Westwood, N.J., native was named to the AHL Second All-Star Team and represented the Central Division at the All-Star Game last season.
Originally a sixth round selection of the San Jose Sharks in 2018, Leonard has six goals and 17 points in 70 career NHL games with the Sharks, Nashville Predators, and Arizona Coyotes.
He has 98 goals and 195 points in 264 career AHL games and is a big reason why the Griffins lead the league in goals for.
Leonard joined the Griffins on a one-year contract this off-season after a Calder Cup Finals loss with the Charlotte Checkers last season.
