Former Grand Rapids Griffins and Providence Bruins defenseman Jared McIsaac has signed a contract with HC Litvinov in Czechia.
McIsaac split time between the Grand Rapids Griffins and HC Ambri-Piotta of the Swiss NL, before finishing the season on loan with the Providence Bruins last season.
A second round pick of the Detroit Red Wings in 2018, McIsaac was never quite able to live up to his draft pedigree, as he has not appeared in any NHL regular season games.
The 24-year-old recorded five points in 21 AHL games and zero points in four total NL games last season.
In 162 career AHL games with Grand Rapids and Providence McIsaac has nine goals and 44 assists.
Highly touted coming out of junior, McIsaac won QMJHL Defensive Rookie of The Year and was named to the All-Rookie Team. He was also a one-time QMJHL Second-Team All-Star. He won a gold medal with Canada at the 2018 Ivan Hlinka and 2020 World Junior Championship.
