AIK of HockeyAllsvenskan announced they have signed forward Jordy Bellerive to a two-year contract.
Bellerive split last season between the Lehigh Valley Phantoms, San Jose Barracuda, and Syracuse Crunch where he recorded 12 points in 59 games. He then scored three goals in eight Calder Cup playoff games with Syracuse.
The 25-year-old began his professional career with the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins in 2018-19 after a successful WHL career with the Lethbridge Hurricanes.
In four WHL seasons he notched 267 points in 274 games to go along with 302 penalty minutes, he also served as captain his final two seasons. He made the WHL Second All-Star Team in 2018.
In 277 career AHL games Bellerive has 43 goals, 58 assists, and 340 penalty minutes.
A competitive player who never stops skating, Bellerive's speed and physicality should allow him to thrive in HockeyAllsvenskan.
