    The Laval Rocket announced they have signed forward Xavier Simoneau, defensemen Josh Jacobs and Darick Louis-Jean, and goaltender Hunter Jones to AHL contracts.

    Louis-Jean and Jones sign one-year, two-way AHL contracts while Simoneau and Jacobs sign one-year, one-way AHL contracts. 

    Simoneau recorded 21 points in 58 games with the Rocket last season and added three points in nine Calder Cup Playoff games. 

    The 24-year-old has 96 points in 173 career AHL games, all with the Rocket. 

    Jacobs recorded five points in 26 games with Laval last season.

    A second round pick of the New Jersey Devils in 2014, Jacobs has 86 points in 387 career AHL games and is pointless in three career NHL games. He brings veteran experience to the Rocket.

    Louis-Jean had 29 points in 70 games with the ECHL's Norfolk Admirals last season before adding five points in 11 ECHL playoff games.

    The 24-year-old was an ECHL All-Star in 2022-23, he will look to help Montreal's ECHL affiliate Trois-Rivières Lions win back-to-back Kelly Cups.

    Jones had a 15-6-6 record with a .905 SP and 2.87 GAA with the Trois-Rivières Lions last season.

    The 24-year-old appeared in two playoff games and recorded a win, helping the Lions win their first Kelly Cup.
