Ontario Reign add Jean-Francois Berube in corresponding move

The Los Angeles Kings announced they have recalled goaltender Pheonix Copley from the Ontario Reign.

The Kings placed starting goaltender Darcy Kuemper on injured reserve and recalled Copley to backup Dave Rittich.

Copley had a 4-1-2 record and a .870 SV% in eight appearances with Los Angeles last season. He has appeared in one game for the Kings and Reign this season.

In a corresponding move the Ontario Reign have added goaltender Jean-Francois Berube to their roster, he served as emergency back-up for the team last night during their game against Bakersfield.

Berube last appeared in an AHL game in the 2022-23 season with the Charlotte Checkers.

Reign goaltender Erik Portillo is currently day-to-day with an illness, the Reign need him back as soon as possible as they have allowed 12 goals in three games.
