The New York Islanders have signed forwards Liam Foudy and Tyce Thompson to one-year, two-way contracts for the 2024-25 season, according to PuckPedia

Both contracts are worth $775,000 at the NHL level, Foudy's deal is worth $225,000 in the AHL while Thompson's is worth $175,000.

Foudy was the 18th overall selection in the 2018 draft by the Columbus Blue Jackets, he has recorded 22 points in 102 games with the Blue Jackets and Nashville Predators. He spent the majority of last season with the Milwaukee Admirals in the AHL after the Predators claimed him off waivers.

One of the fastest skaters in the sport, Foudy has 51 points in 69 career AHL games and will play a prime offensive role on the Bridgeport Islanders next season.

Thompson, a fourth round pick of the Devils in 2019, was traded to the Islanders from New Jersey in November in exchange for Arnaud Durandeau. He recorded 14 points in 51 games with Bridgeport last season.

The 24-year-old skilled forward has one assist in 11 career NHL games and 18 goals and 64 points in 149 career AHL games.

Thompson's father Brent was Head Coach of the Bridgeport Islanders for 10 seasons and an assistant with New York  for two seasons from 2011-12 to 2022-23 before leaving ahead of last season to become an assistant with the Anaheim Ducks.

Bridgeport finished last in the AHL by points last season and scored the least amount of goals, both of these players should help the team improve.
