The New York Rangers announced they have signed goaltenders Dylan Garand and Talyn Boyko to one-year, two-way contract extensions for the 2025-26 season.

Garand had a record of 20-19-9 with a .913 SP and .273 GAA with the Hartford Wolf Pack and was an AHL All-Star last season.

The 23-year-old was named to Team Canada at the 2025 World Championship and picked up a shutout win. He also represented Canada at the 2021 and 2022 World Junior Championships, backstopping the team to an overtime gold medal win in 2022 against Finland.

A fourth round selection of the Rangers in 2020, Garand has amassed a 49-42-16 record with a .902 SP and 2.92 GAA in 112 career AHL appearances. He has yet to play an NHL regular season game.

The Victoria, BC., native won WHL Goaltender of the Year and was named to the WHL First All-Star Team while a member of the Kamloops Blazers in the 2021-22 season.

Boyko spent the majority of last season with the ECHL's Tulsa Oilers and posted a 20-8-5 record with a .913 SP and 2.66 GAA, he also made five appearances for the Wolf Pack.

A fourth round pick of the Rangers in 2021, Boyko has a 33-17-6 record in 59 career ECHL games and a 2-2 record in five career AHL games.

With Igor Shesterkin and Jonathan Quick locked in as the Rangers two goaltenders Garand will likely assume the starters role with Hartford, leaving Boyko to battle with Callum Tung and Hugo Ollas for the backup role.
