    24-year-old was second on Belleville in scoring this season

    The Ottawa Senators announced that the team has signed Belleville Senators forward Angus Crookshank to a one-year, two-way contract extension. 

    The contract will pay Crookshank $775,000 in the NHL and $120,000 in the AHL. 

    A fifth round pick by the Senators in 2018, Crookshank joined the Belleville Senators for the 2020-21 season after three years at the University of New Hampshire.

    The 24-year-old tied for second on Belleville in scoring this season with 46 points in 50 games, he also had three points in 13 games in the NHL. 

    Crookshank is third all-time in scoring for Belleville with 109 points in 140 career games for the franchise. He will compete for a bottom six roster spot with Ottawa next season.
