The AHL announced that Rockford IceHogs forward Aku Raty has been suspended for two games for boarding.
The incident occurred in a Mar. 28 game against the Manitoba Moose. Raty boarded Moose defenseman Ashton Sautner with 1:41 to go in the third period.
The 23-year-old was assessed a two minute penalty for tripping on the play.
Raty was acquired by Rockford on the NHL trade deadline. He has four goals and 19 points in 50 games for the Tucson Roadrunners and one goal and four points in eight games for the IceHogs this season.
The Oulu, Fin., native will miss tonight's rematch against Manitoba and an Apr. 4 game against the Grand Rapids Griffins. He will be eligible to return for the second half of the back-to-back Apr. 5 against the Griffins.
