Defenseman Caden Price has been reassigned from the WHL's Lethbridge Hurricanes to the AHL's Coachella Valley Firebirds, per the AHL Transactions page.

A third round pick of the Kraken in 2023, Price recorded nine goals and 43 points in 57 games this season split between Lethbridge and the Kelowna Rockets.

The Hurricanes were swept in the WHL's Conference Championship by the Medicine Hat Tigers, allowing Price to join the Firebirds.

Price has 29 goals and 159 points in 231 career WHL games and was a BC Second Team All-Star last season. He also picked up two points in five games while a member of Team Canada at the 2025 World Junior Championship this season.

The Firebirds are on a quest to make the Calder Cup Finals for the third season in a row after losing to the Hershey Bears in the finals the first two years of the teams existence.

Coachella Valley is currently tied 1-1 in their best-of-five series with the Abbotsford Canucks, it will be interesting to see if the team inserts Price into the lineup for game three or if they opt for more experience.

Game three of the Pacific Division Semifinal goes Wednesday May. 7 in Abbotsford.
