Five forwards, six defensemen and two goalies sent to Blues' AHL affiliate

The St. Louis Blues announced they have sent 13 players to their AHL affiliate Springfield Thunderbirds.
Forwards Dalibor Dvorsky, Dylan Peterson, Tanner Dickinson, Aleksanteri Kaskimaki, and Marcus Sylvegard, defensemen Jeremie Biakabutuka, Marc-Andre Gaudet, Leo Loof, Anton Malmstrom, Michael Buchinger, and Samuel Johannesson, and goaltenders Colten Ellis and Will Cranley were sent down.
Seven of these players appeared in at least one game for the Thunderbirds last season.
Dvorsky highlights this group, he will get his first taste of professional hockey in North America after splitting last season between Oskarshamn IK in the SHL and the OHL's Sudbury Wolves. The 10th overall pick in the 2023 draft, Dvorsky notched 88 points in 52 games last season and expectations will be high for him in the AHL.
Buchinger will be playing his first professional games this season and Johannesson his first in North America, they will look to help out a Thunderbirds defense that had trouble keeping the puck out of the net last season.
The Hockey News St. Louis covered the moves here.
The Thunderbirds missed the Calder Cup playoffs last season. They open their season Oct. 12 against the Laval Rocket.
