Dewar notched one goal and one assist in one game with the Toronto Marlies

The Toronto Maple Leafs have activated forward Connor Dewar from injured reserve and recalled him from his conditioning loan with the Toronto Marlies.

In a corresponding move the Leafs also placed captain Auston Matthews on injured reserve retroactive to Nov. 3.

Dewar underwent surgery to repair a torn labrum after the Maple Leafs loss to the Boston Bruins in the 2024 playoffs.

The 25-year-old scored a goal and added an assist in a 4-2 Marlies loss to the Cleveland Monsters in his one game conditioning stint.

After being acquired from the Minnesota Wild at last season's trade deadline Dewar played a big role on Toronto's penalty kill and recorded one goal and five points in 17 games.

His brief stint with the Marlies was Dewar's first appearance in the AHL since he recorded 17 points in 19 games with the Iowa Wild during the 2021-22 season.
